1 4 <br /> 1 M <br /> c <br /> ORDINANCE No . /� <br /> An ordinance, creating the office of Poundmaster and Dogcatcher <br /> providing for his compensation, and fixing his powers, duties <br /> and repealing Ordinance No . 1192 of the City of Everett , and <br /> all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. <br /> TEE CITY OF EVERET!' DOES O`tDAIN: <br /> Sec . 1.- That there be and is hereby created an office <br /> of Poundmaster and Dogcatcher, whose duty it shall be, ( in add- <br /> ition to the duties specified in Ordinance No. 1154 of said city) <br /> to catch and impound all dogs not being licensed in accordance <br /> with the ordinance of said city, and to distrain and impound all <br /> other animals running at large or picketed in such a manner as <br /> t.._: violate the terms of said Ordinance No . 1154. It shall be <br /> the duty of said Poundmaster and Dogcatcher to feed and provide <br /> as suitable pound for all dogs and see that all animals other <br /> than a dog are properly cared fork while impounded, and at the <br /> close of each d-.y , to file with the Chief of Police, an itemized <br /> written report showing the number, character, description, and <br /> name of owner, ( if known), of each dog impounded, and of each dog <br /> killed, and of each head of stock impounded on said day; and it <br /> shall be the duty of said Chief of Police to verify such statement <br /> daily . <br /> Sec 2.- It shall be the duty of said Poundmaster and <br /> Dogcatcher to kill and dispose of all doge that are ordered kill- <br /> ed and also dogs that are not released or sold for license or <br /> impounding fees, also dogs that are Rept over forty-eight houre <br /> and are not released for their license and impounding fees . <br />
