/4P1 ORDINANCE NO. 3114-09 AN ORDINANCE creating the special improvement project entitled "Everett Municipal Court/Police Headquarters Relocation Project", Fund 342, Program 014 to accumulate all costs for the relocation project. WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to provide additional space for the Everett Municipal Court; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to meet future space needs for Everett Municipal Court and Police Headquarters; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to meet these needs using property already owned by the City of Everett; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund 342, Program 014 entitled "Municipal Court/Police Headquarters Relocation Project" to accumulate the design and construction costs required for remodel of the Police Headquarters and the Wall Street Building. Section 2: Authorization is hereby granted to the Facilities/Property Management Director under the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. Section 3: The estimated cost of the project is $108,000 including costs related to pre- design and construction estimates. This Ordnance may be amended to include cost for design development, construction estimates, construction documents, and contract/construction administration. Section 4: The sum of $108,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 342, Program 014 "Municipal Court/Police Relocation Project" as follows: A. Estimated Project Design Costs Pre-Design $ 90,000 Pre-Design contingency 20% $ 18,000 Total Estimated Design Costs $108,000
