,IPsy,/=A1 <br /> RESOLUTION Na 5810 <br /> A RESOLUTION surplusing City timber and authorizing the Department <br /> of Natural Resources to begin advertising the Sock of Gold Timber Sale <br /> #30-078670 and call for bids for this timber sale as required in Ordinance <br /> No. 1741-90 <br /> WHEREAS, under the FERC license for stage two of the Henry M. Jackson Project, the <br /> co-licensees were required to develop a Wildlife Habitat Management Plan (W.H.M.P.); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the required W.H.M.P. was completed and approved by the City on <br /> September 30, 1987; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is most cost-effective for the State Department of Natural Resources <br /> (DNR) to harvest a small amount of City timber along the Diversion Dam Road as part of a <br /> much larger DNR timber sale; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1741-90 establishing the procedures for selling City timber <br /> was approved on October 10, 1990; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT that about 78,000 board feet of City timber in the Timber Sale#30-078670 <br /> is declared surplus and the DNR is authorized to advertise a call for bids on the Sock of <br /> Gold Timber Sale#30-078670 including City Timber in accordance with Ordinance No. <br /> 1741-90. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and Approved this 6th day of Sept . , 2006 1.1 <br /> ' I <br /> C O <br /> cil Pres, .nt <br />
