1 <br /> 011Poell <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5675 <br /> A Resolution Placing the <br /> Winter House <br /> 1631 Grand Avenue <br /> on the <br /> Everett Register of Historic Places <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted Ordinance 1355-87 (amended 1956-93) <br /> authorizing the Everett Historical Commission to consider the merits of properties for <br /> placement on the Everett Register of Historic Places and to recommend to City Council <br /> that properties be placed on the Everett Register; and <br /> WHEREAS, the owners of the Winter House at 1631 Grand Avenue requested the <br /> Everett Historical Commission to consider the house for inclusion in the Everett Register <br /> of Historic Places; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Historical Commission reviewed the request, and at a public <br /> hearing determined that the Winter House, built in 1917, is at least 50 years old and <br /> meets the following criteria for inclusion on the Everett Register: <br /> • Embodies distinctive architectural characteristics of a type, period and style of <br /> construction; <br /> • Is an outstanding work of a designer, builder or architect; <br /> • Exemplifies special elements of the city's cultural, economic and architectural <br /> history; and <br /> • Is associated with the lives of persons significant to local history; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. The Everett City Council concurs with the Everett Historical Commission <br /> recommendation to place the Winter House on the Everett Register of Historical <br /> Places. <br />
