RESOLUTION No. 5562 <br /> A RESOLUTION for Expenditure of Neighborhood Project Funds '1141111 <br /> "/Iimia <br /> WHEREAS,the neighborhood associations on Everett are composed of active resi.ents who <br /> work many volunteer hours to improve the quality of life in our City: and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett's Office of Neighborhoods provides matching funds to support <br /> projects conducted by neighborhood associations to enhance city life and beautify our city; and <br /> WHEREAS, two Large Project Grants were recommended by City and citizen review teams for <br /> approval in November 2004; and <br /> WHEREAS, neighborhood residents and businesses have promised pledges of more than <br /> $ 24,547 to match the requests of$20,000 in City funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett benefits from active citizen involvement through neighborhood <br /> enhancement projects; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that the Mayor or his designee be authorized to execute a contract with each of the <br /> listed neighborhood associations in the amount specified for the purpose stated: <br /> 1) Harborview-Seahurst-Glenhaven Neighborhood Association—Pump House <br /> Renovation Project $10,000 <br /> 2) Riverside Neighborhood Association—Riverside Tree Planting for 2005 Project <br /> $10,000 <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City's Chief Financial Officer be authorized to make <br /> payment of invoices for expenses incurred for the above purposes, not to exceed the individual <br /> amount for each association, between January gal05 and J. • • •• ,:06. <br /> .1_4.4 <br /> Co ilman 1 ...0, ' . ion <br /> Passed and approve. - da •f Dec-mber , 20,4 <br /> C (f <br /> ATuncil President <br />
