1 <br /> P'14 .A <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5520 <br /> A Resolution adopting the Comprehensive Plan Audit <br /> and Public Involvement Plan for the 10-year update <br /> to the City of Everett Comprehensive Plan <br /> WHEREAS the City of Everett has a desire to cooperatively work with Snohomish County, cities <br /> in Snohomish County, citizens of Everett, and property owners, businesses, neighborhood groups <br /> and other organizations; and <br /> WHEREAS the City of Everett accepted applications for changes to the Comprehensive Plan <br /> Land Use map and related rezones and, <br /> WHEREAS the Everett Planning Commission held public workshops and public hearings on <br /> April 20, 2004, June 15, 2004, July 20, 2004 and August 3, 2004 and, <br /> WHEREAS the Everett Planning Commission will develop final growth target numbers as a part <br /> of the City of Everett's Growth Management Act Comprehensive Plan to presented to the Everett <br /> City Council. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council finds: <br /> 1. The Comprehensive Plan Audit comprises the docket requests, sections, and elements of <br /> the Comprehensive Plan, which need updating. <br /> 2. The Citizen Involvement Plan is the minimum effort for citizen participation in the <br /> Comprehensive Plan development and its implementation. If through the Comprehensive <br /> Plan update there are additional efforts, which are desirable, this action is not intended to <br /> limit additional participation efforts. <br /> 3. The 10-year Comprehensive Plan update schedule has been established recognizing that <br /> citizen participation is an important and key component in the development of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. The earliest the updated Comprehensive Plan will be adopted is in <br /> mid 2005. <br /> 1 <br />
