RESOLUTION NO. 5412 <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City of Everett, Washington, <br /> recognizing the many contributions of Captain Tim <br /> Ross who served the City well and proudly from <br /> July 10, 1978 until December 5, 2003 <br /> WHEREAS, the mission of the men and women of the Everett Fire Department is to continue to serve <br /> and protect the lives of our citizens, their property, and the environment; and <br /> WHEREAS, it should be known to all that Tim Ross was a twenty-five year veteran of the Everett Fire <br /> Department, was a dedicated husband and father, and an avid sportsman; and <br /> WHEREAS, Tim Ross was recognized by the firefighters he served with first as a paramedic for 13 <br /> years, a medical educator being selected twice as "Instructor of the Year for Excellence in Education"then as a <br /> Captain in the Everett Fire Department serving on the Critical Incident Stress Management Team consoling <br /> thousands of individuals in the Fire, Law Enforcement, Hospital, Dispatch and Emergency Management Services; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, The bond between Tim Ross and his fellow Firefighters was one of true brotherhood, and <br /> his passing has saddened each member of that brotherhood and shall not be forgotten; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT resolve that the <br /> many accomplishments of Captain Tim Ross, a man who loved the city he served for 25 years, and made it <br /> infinitely better because of his faithful service shall be recognized and remembered, and join in the family of <br /> Tim Ross, as well as the Everett Firefighters, in the mourning of their loss. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this 17th day of December 2003. <br /> 1 ' <br /> i l / <br /> Raytphans•s, Mayor A Ian Hatloe, Council President <br /> Doug Cambell, Counci ice President Marian K = :• ci mem6_ <br /> Mark Olson, Council member Ron Gipson, Council member <br /> 130-(C: Fm' <br /> Dale Pope, Council member Bob Overstreet, Council member <br />
