'PA 1 /: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4903 <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing the City of Everett's strong <br /> desire for Snohomish County's governmental offices and <br /> operations to remain in downtown Everett <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Snohomish County is looking at a number of <br /> alternatives to address its space needs for its employees which alternatives involve <br /> occupying space in the BOMARC facility in the vicinity of Paine Field as well as various <br /> space considerations in downtown Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett and Snohomish County have a long history of working <br /> together on issues of common interest to achieve results that are in the interests of each; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council understands Snohomish County's government's need to <br /> examine possible alternatives to address its space needs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it supports the City's Administration's <br /> continuing efforts to meet and work with Snohomish County's Administration to achieve <br /> results that are in the best interests of each; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a move by Snohomish County from Everett's <br /> downtown would negatively impact downtown Everett and its businesses which presents <br /> a very serious concern to the City Council; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: <br /> The City of Everett's elected officials wish to state their support for the <br /> governmental offices and operations of Snohomish County government remaining <br /> in downtown Everett, the central and traditional location for conducting County <br /> business. <br />
