'PA 1 /: RESOLUTION NO. 4903 A RESOLUTION expressing the City of Everett's strong desire for Snohomish County's governmental offices and operations to remain in downtown Everett WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Snohomish County is looking at a number of alternatives to address its space needs for its employees which alternatives involve occupying space in the BOMARC facility in the vicinity of Paine Field as well as various space considerations in downtown Everett; and WHEREAS, the City of Everett and Snohomish County have a long history of working together on issues of common interest to achieve results that are in the interests of each; and WHEREAS, the City Council understands Snohomish County's government's need to examine possible alternatives to address its space needs; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it supports the City's Administration's continuing efforts to meet and work with Snohomish County's Administration to achieve results that are in the best interests of each; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a move by Snohomish County from Everett's downtown would negatively impact downtown Everett and its businesses which presents a very serious concern to the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: The City of Everett's elected officials wish to state their support for the governmental offices and operations of Snohomish County government remaining in downtown Everett, the central and traditional location for conducting County business.
