EVERETT CITY COUNCIL PRELIMINARY AGENDA 8:30 A.M., WEDNESDAY, MAY 10, 2006 CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS Roll Call Pledge of Allegiance Approval of Minutes: May 3, 2006 Mayor's Comments Council — Economic Development Council Focus Forward Presentation City Attorney Citizen Comments CONSENT ITEMS (1) Adopt Resolution # authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of $825,091.51 for the period of April 22, 2006 through April 28, 2006 (2) To approve the closure of Colby, Pacific to Everett Avenue; Hewitt, Rucker to Broadway; Wetmore, Wall to Hewitt; Hoyt, Pacific to Wall; Wall, Hoyt to Wetmore; and California, Hoyt to Wetmore, on May 28, 2006, May 27, 2007, and May 25, 2008, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., for a Cruizin to Colby Controlled Cruise with the condition that there be three off-duty police officers to assist with traffic control and that Wetmore remain open for Transit buses (3) To approve the closure of Colby, Pacific to Everett Avenue; Hewitt, Rucker to Wetmore; Wetmore, north side of Wall to Everett Avenue; Hoyt, Pacific to Wall; Wall, Hoyt to Wetmore; and California, Hoyt to Wetmore, for a Cruizin to Colby Car Show on May 29, 2006, May 28, 2007, and May 26, 2008, 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the condition that there be two off-duty police officers for security at the event and that Wetmore remain open for Transit buses ACTION ITEMS: (to be considered individually) (4) Adopt Resolution # naming the Everett Events Center Conference Center the "Edward D. Hansen Conference Center" after former Mayor Edward D.
