1!!!!!!!!!":::1 <br /> EI/EIFETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4891 <br /> A RESOLUTION supporting a Library Services and Technology Act <br /> Connectivity 2000 grant application for the technology to provide <br /> enhanced Internet and database access and training for the <br /> residents of Everett. <br /> WHEREAS, the Internet and online databases are becoming increasingly <br /> important as means of communication and dissemination of information. <br /> WHEREAS, Everett residents are asking in increasing numbers for training in the <br /> use of Internet resources. <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Everett to improve the opportunities its <br /> citizens have to learn to use new technologies wisely and efficiently. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett that <br /> the City of Everett lends its full support and endorsement to the Library's <br /> application for grant funds under the Library Services and Technology Act <br /> (LSTA) Connectivity 2000, and the Mayor is authorized to execute all <br /> applications and grant contracts related thereto, and the execution of the grant <br /> itself, if, as, and when awarded. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 19tIllay of April , 2000. <br /> Council resident <br />
