01111b":1:4.1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4851 <br /> A RESOLUTION acknowledging receipt of line of duty <br /> death coverage funds and authorizing disbursement of said funds. <br /> WHEREAS, Scottsdale Insurance Company, of Scottsdale, Arizona, has been the City of <br /> Everett's law enforcement professional liability insurer since December 31, 1994; and <br /> WHEREAS, Scottsdale Insurance Company offered, for the first time, a newly-drafted <br /> line of duty death coverage endorsement to the City of Everett's liability policy for the policy <br /> period December 31, 1998 to December 31, 1999; and <br /> WHEREAS, said endorsement provides a benefit to the City of Everett for voluntary <br /> payments it makes to the family or members of the household of a police officer who dies in the <br /> line of duty as the result of a felony which occurs during the policy period; and <br /> WHEREAS, Everett Police Officer Brian DiBucci tragically lost his life in the line of <br /> duty on July 15, 1999, while assisting his fellow police officers during a felony arrest traffic stop <br /> of a stolen vehicle; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT as follows: <br /> That the City Council hereby acknowledge and accept receipt of the line of duty death <br /> coverage funds from Scottsdale Insurance Company as a benefit to the City of Everett under <br /> Policy No. LES-000208 and authorize the disbursement of said funds to members of the family <br /> and household of deceased Everett Police Officer Brian DiBucci as follows: <br /> Donna M. O'Sullivan and John P. DiBucci, Mother and Father 50% <br /> Margaret A.
