OW k 44,„Al,...:-.01 ,iiiii EVE 'ETT ORDINANCE NO. 2224-97 An ORDINANCE creating a special fund entitled "Snohomish River Regional Water Authority" Fund No. 450 to accumulate all related costs for the planning, development, ownership, management, financingand maintenance of the Weyerhaeuser water rights and facilities purchased by the Snohomish River Regional Water Authority and for construction of new water supply facilities. WHEREAS, on December 18, 1996, Council adopted Resolution No. 4364 authorizing the execution of an agreement to acquire water rights and water facilities from Weyerhaeuser Company, and; WHEREAS, Council approved an interlocal agreement for the establishment of a regional water authority , and agreement to develop water supply resources; WHEREAS, the City needs to facilitate efficient water resource development and utilization through interlocal regional cooperation with Woodinville Water District, Northshore Utility District; and other municipal corporations operating public water supplies. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special Enterprise Fund is hereby established as Fund No. 450, entitled "Snohomish River Regional Water Authority" to accomplish the actions authorized in this ordinance. Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and collect proportionate shares of total costs for the development and utilization of the water rights and water facilities. Section 3: Authorization is hereby granted to the Mayor, and the Public Works Director as the alternate delegate to the Board of Directors, to assume full and complete responsibility for conducting all tasks to accomplish the actions authorized by this ordinance.
