• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2143-96 �/E?ETT <br /> An Ordinance Amending Exhibit A of Ordinance#2021-94, the City of Everett Comprehensive <br /> Plan, and in particular, the Land Use Element Policies as they Relate to Adult Use Businesses, <br /> Providing an Interim Designation, and Declaring an Emergency to Exist. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds than on May 8, 1996, the City council held a public hearing <br /> concerning the adoption of this ordinance; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that findings and conclusions supporting the adoption of this <br /> ordinance are contained in Resolution No. 4264 which in incorporated herein by reference; <br /> Now, therefore the City of Everett does ordain: <br /> Section 1. The Commercial Land Use Policies of the City of Everett Growth Management <br /> Comprehensive Plan, attached to and contained in Exhibit A of Ordinance #2021-94, are hereby <br /> amended by the addition of the following subsection: <br /> 1.2.10. Adult use businesses, as defined by the Zoning Code, are considered compatible <br /> with the "Community Business," "Mixed Use Commercial - Multiple Family," and <br /> "Waterfront Commercial" land use designations as designated on the Land Use Map, <br /> provided that they meet the locational criteria of the Zoning Code. If this policy is <br /> inconsistent with any other Commercial Land Use Policy, then this policy shall control. <br /> Section 2. The Industrial Land Use Policies of the City of Everett Growth Management <br /> Comprehensive Plan, attached to and contained in Exhibit A of Ordinance #2021-94, are hereby <br /> amended by the addition of the following subsection: <br /> 1.3.11 Adult use businesses, as defined by the Zoning Code are considered compatible <br /> with all of the industrial land use designations as designated on the Land Use Map, <br /> provided that they meet the locational criteria of the Zoning Code. All non-industrial <br /> land uses which are specifically permitted in industrial zones by the Zoning Code shall be <br /> permitted within, and considered compatible with, the industrial land use designations of <br /> the Comprehensive Plan. If this policy is inconsistent with any other Industrial Land Use <br /> Policy,then this policy shall control. <br /> Section 3. The Central Business District Land Use Policies of the City of Everett Growth <br /> Management Comprehensive Plan, attached to and contained is Exhibit A of Ordinance #2021- <br /> 94, are hereby amended by the addition of the following subsection: <br /> 1.4.11 Adult use businesses, as defined by the Zoning Code, are considered compatible <br /> with the Central Business District land use designation as designated on the Land Use <br /> Map, provided that they meet the locational criteria of the Zoning Code.
