• <br /> /Cs///z` <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2093 -95 <br /> An Ordinance Amending the Zoning Code by Increasing the Permitted Housing Density in the <br /> R-3(L) Zone (Multiple Family Low Density), amending Section 11 of Ordinance No. 1671-89 <br /> as amended by Section 13 of Ordinance No. 1848-92 (EMC 19.11). <br /> WHEREAS, the R-3(L) Zone (Multiple Family Low Density) currently allows multiple family <br /> housing development at a density of 12.1 dwellings per acre; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett Growth Management Comprehensive Plan contains implementation <br /> measures that call for increasing the permitted density in the R-3(L) Zone to 19.8 dwellings per <br /> acre; and <br /> WHEREAS, the R-3(L) Zone is the only multiple family zone which does not permit the housing <br /> density provided for by the comprehensive plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on August 15, 1995 to take <br /> public testimony concerning an amendment to the Zoning Code to increase the permitted housing <br /> density in the R-3(L) Zone from 12.1 to 19.8 dwellings per acre; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed amendment to the Zoning Code is necessary to <br /> implement with the Everett Comprehensive Plan; bears a substantial relation to the public health, <br /> safety and welfare; and promotes the best long-term interests of the Everett Community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />
