00/10141P, ORDINANCE NO. 2089-95 E `� ETT AN ORDINANCE amending the City's Traffic Code concerning disabled parking fines, amending Ordinance No. 1995-94 (EMC 46.28.260). WHEREAS, the 1995 Legislature Increased the fine for improperly parking in a disabled parking space from $50 to $175; and WHEREAS, the City is required by State law to assess the same fine as established by State law; and WHEREAS, in order to bring the City into compliance with he recently adopted State law, the City is required to amend its Traffic Code to increase the City's disabled parking fine from $50 to $175; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 : Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1995-94 (EMC 46.28.260) which reads as follows: Penalties. A. , Unless specifically set forth elsewhere in this Ordinance, the penalties for each violation of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be: 1 . Overtime Parking: Ten Dollars ($10.00); 2. Unauthorized Parking in Alley: Ten Dollars ($10.00); 3. Parking, Stopping or Standing in Fire Lane in Violation of this Ordinance: Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00); 4. Interfering with, concealing, obliterating or erasing marks in violation of this Ordinance: Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00); 5. Parking in Disabled Space Without Requisite Placard or License Plate is a Traffic Infraction per RCW 46.16.381 : Fifty Dollars ($50.00); 6. All other violations: Ten Dollars ($10.00). B. If no response or payment be made within ten (10) calendar days of the date of issuance of the notice of parking violation, the penalty for each shall be:
