IIF"` '-TT <br /> Ordinance No. 0204i/- 95" <br /> An Ordinance Amending the Zoning Map of the City of Everett as Provided by Ordinance No. <br /> 1671-89 by Rezoning an Area Located Near Highway 2 and the Snohomish River to Implement <br /> the Land Use Map of the Everett Growth Management Comprehensive Plan. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2021-94 on August 3, 1994, <br /> adopting the Everett Growth Management Comprehensive Plan in accordance with the <br /> requirements of the Washington Growth Management Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act requires that the City's Zoning Map as established by <br /> Ordinance No. 1671-89 be consistent with the Land.Use Map of the Growth Management <br /> Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City notified owners of property within the proposed rezone area of public <br /> hearings to discuss the proposed rezoning of various parts of the city; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held public hearings on September 13, 1994, and <br /> September 27, 1994, at which they listened to public testimony, reviewed correspondence, and <br /> deliberated upon each rezone proposal; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held additional public meetings on October 4, 1994, and <br /> October 18, 1994, to deliberate and discuss the proposed rezone areas, and did recommend that <br /> the City Council rezone the subject area, based upon testimony, discussion and findings; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2036-95 rezoning various areas of the <br /> City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the subject area was inadvertently not included in the vicinity maps and legal <br /> descriptions of areas which the Planning Commission recommended for rezoning; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed rezone is consistent with the Everett <br /> Comprehensive Plan; bears a substantial relation to the public health, safety and welfare; and <br /> promotes the best long term interests of the Everett community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That portion of the Zoning Map established by Ordinance No. 1671-89, which is <br /> generally located south of the right-of-way for the SR 2 westbound bridge, and east of Interstate <br /> 5, as identified on the attached map marked "Exhibit A", and which is specifically described as <br /> follows: <br />
