IIF"` '-TT Ordinance No. 0204i/- 95" An Ordinance Amending the Zoning Map of the City of Everett as Provided by Ordinance No. 1671-89 by Rezoning an Area Located Near Highway 2 and the Snohomish River to Implement the Land Use Map of the Everett Growth Management Comprehensive Plan. WHEREAS, the Everett City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2021-94 on August 3, 1994, adopting the Everett Growth Management Comprehensive Plan in accordance with the requirements of the Washington Growth Management Act; and WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act requires that the City's Zoning Map as established by Ordinance No. 1671-89 be consistent with the Land.Use Map of the Growth Management Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the City notified owners of property within the proposed rezone area of public hearings to discuss the proposed rezoning of various parts of the city; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held public hearings on September 13, 1994, and September 27, 1994, at which they listened to public testimony, reviewed correspondence, and deliberated upon each rezone proposal; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held additional public meetings on October 4, 1994, and October 18, 1994, to deliberate and discuss the proposed rezone areas, and did recommend that the City Council rezone the subject area, based upon testimony, discussion and findings; and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2036-95 rezoning various areas of the City; and WHEREAS, the subject area was inadvertently not included in the vicinity maps and legal descriptions of areas which the Planning Commission recommended for rezoning; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed rezone is consistent with the Everett Comprehensive Plan; bears a substantial relation to the public health, safety and welfare; and promotes the best long term interests of the Everett community. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That portion of the Zoning Map established by Ordinance No. 1671-89, which is generally located south of the right-of-way for the SR 2 westbound bridge, and east of Interstate 5, as identified on the attached map marked "Exhibit A", and which is specifically described as follows:
