• <br /> OPite%‘ .." <br /> (5-1.WY/LL7fiv <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4 5 0 8 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE AND WAIVING <br /> THE PUBLIC BIDDING REQUIREMENTS FOR SEVEN SURFACE TYPE AERATORS <br /> FOR THE EVERETT WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Pollution Control Facility (EWPCF) has the need to pilot test seven <br /> aerators with specific performance characteristics for the purpose of odor control in the EWPCF <br /> lagoons; and <br /> WHEREAS, the recommended aerators are the only units available with the performance <br /> characteristics needed for the proposed pilot testing; and <br /> WHEREAS, EWPCF staff have determined that the Little River Pond Mills are unique <br /> equipment(U.S. Patent#4,764,313) manufactured and distributed solely by Natural Aeration Inc. <br /> of Reardan, Washington. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that the purchase of aerators with the required performance characteristics specified is <br /> limited to a single manufacturer and it's sole distributor, Natural Aeration Inc. of Reardan, <br /> Washington. Pursuant to RCW 35.23.352 (9), the City hereby waives the requirement of calling <br /> for public bids for the acquisition of the subject equipment.
