EL/FJFETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4 417 <br /> WHEREAS, Mike Gilchrest, born and raised in Everett, was dedicated to serving his <br /> community; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mike served on the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department Board of <br /> Park Commissioners since 1990, holding the position of Chairperson for two years; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mike was a strong steward and advocate of the City's Park and Recreation <br /> Department, its programs and services to the community. Mike was an ombudsman for the <br /> people and frequently brought their concerns to the attention of City and Parks officials; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mike's service to the community was exemplary in his enthusiasm and <br /> dedication to the Citizens of Everett, and particularly, to the youth in the community, and <br /> WHEREAS, Mike created a legacy for the youth of this community through his support, <br /> involvement, and leadership in a variety of youth athletic organizations, including his <br /> commitment and dedication to South Everett Little League; and <br /> WHEREAS, members of Everett's City Council, the Mayor and Parks staff recognize the <br /> community's loss as a result of Mike's passing; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the undersigned Mayor and Members of the Everett City Council do <br /> hereby extend to Mike's wife, Gayle, his daughters Erin and Lani, and family members and <br /> friends our condolences and do hereby recognize the memory of Mike Gilchrest's years of <br /> dedication, service and commitment to the City of Everett and its citizens. <br /> Signed is 16th day of April, 1997. <br /> / , rtitaitiji ' -eeefeW el,.-e,.,,az- <br /> Mayor Ed and I.
