• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4 3 7 7 <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Everett, setting a public hearing before the <br /> City Council on the 5th day of February, 1997, at 8:30 a.m., to consider the proposed 1997 <br /> activities,budget and assessment for the downtown Everett Business Improvement Area No. 1. <br /> WHEREAS, the City is in receipt of the proposed 1997 budget for the downtown Everett Business <br /> Improvement Area No. 1; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council wishes to set a time for public hearing thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT <br /> Section 1: That the City Council shall hold a hearing on the 5th day of February, 1997 at <br /> 8:30 a.m., in the Everett City Council Chambers, to consider the proposed 1997 activities, budget <br /> and assessment, attached and hereby made a part of this resolution as Attachments A and B. <br /> Section 2: The City Clerk shall provide for publishing this resolution as may be provided by <br /> law, and further, that a notice of the hearing and a copy of this resolution shall be mailed to the <br /> owners or reputed owners of real property and buildings located within the proposed BIA area <br /> whose names appear as the owners of such property on the tax rolls of the Snohomish County <br /> Assessor, and at the addresses for such owners as shown on such tax rolls, such mailing to be <br /> made prior to the hearing as may be required by law. <br /> Section 3: The City of Everett would levy a special annual assessment at the following rates, <br /> for the purpose of operating a security and pedestrian environment maintenance program in 1997: <br /> For all lineal footage, on main access ways running North/South, there shall be an assessment at <br /> the rate of one dollar($1.00)per lineal foot per month. <br /> All ownerships with primary frontage along main access ways running east/west shall be <br /> assessed on the basis of a weighted lineal front-foot calculation, as follows: (Length of <br /> ownership's east/west lineal front footage divided by the total length of east/west front footage <br /> from the closest right-of-way line of the closest north/south main access way to the closest alley <br /> right-of-way line) multiplied by the north/south depth of ownership multiplied by twelve dollars <br /> ($12.00)equals the annual assessment. <br /> Section 4: This resolution does not constitute adoption or approval of the proposed 1997 BIA <br /> Budget, and the City Council, after the public hearing on February 5, 1997 (or at the conclusion of <br /> any continuance thereof) may approve an annual BIA budget different from the proposed 1997 <br /> annual BIA budget attached and made a part of this resolution. <br /> Councilperson roducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this22udday of January 1997. <br /> a4a104/t0' <br /> Council President <br />
