z/r j <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4342 <br /> A RESOLUTION surplusing and authorizing the City to begin <br /> advertising the sale for park timber on approximately 1 1/2 acres on <br /> parts of Thornton E. Sullivan Park, Section 19, Township 28, Range <br /> 5 East 1/2, in Snohomish County, such sale hereafter referred to as <br /> Thornton E. Sullivan, Northeast, and to call for bids for this timber <br /> sale as required by Ordinance Number 1741-90. <br /> WHEREAS City Ordinance, 1948-93 establishes policy, regulations and standards <br /> relevant to the management of trees on City-owned public property and rights-of-way, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS City Ordinance, 1948-93 assigns the Director, Parks and Recreation <br /> Department, to supervise the planting, maintenance and removal of all trees on all <br /> streets, rights-of way, and City-owned public property within the city limits of Everett, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS timber within the area of Thornton E. Sullivan Park has been evaluated and <br /> declared as hazardous as defined in accordance with policy and procedure identified in <br /> the Public Tree Policy, June 1993: <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that the timber in Thornton E. Sullivan Park identified as Thornton E. <br /> Sullivan, Northeast, is declared surplus and the City is authorized to call for bids on <br /> Thornton E.
