'Y' <br /> WHEREAS, the 4th of July is a National Holiday in commemoration of the signing of the <br /> Declaration of Independence and freedom in the United States of America, and <br /> WHEREAS, the 4th of July has traditionally been celebrated in the City of Everett since 1892, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Everett has consistently celebrated the 4th of July with an annual parade, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council and a group of citizen volunteers recognize the need to <br /> continue the rich and long history of the City's 4th of July Celebration, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Jaycees have agreed to manage the 1996 4th of July parade; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT THAT: <br /> The Everett City Council supports the Everett Jaycees in their efforts to continue to provide a 4th <br /> ns of our <br /> of July parade in celebration of our Nation'sEvIndependence <br /> cees for heir way or the illingnesseand leadership to <br /> community; and further recognizes the�Y <br /> manage the 1996 4`f July parade. <br /> Tk, a0 ' jr <br /> ouncil Person Introducing Resolution ,A, // '' <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this <br /> p20 day of >2 C } , 1996. <br /> Council Pdent <br /> w:\admin\contracMthjures.doc <br />
