App <br /> ;IV- <br /> EVERETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4216 <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 1995 AMENDMENT <br /> TO THE CITY OF EVERETT SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> Whereas, the City Council, in Resolution No. 2994, authorized and directed the Mayor to prepare a <br /> solid waste management plan for the City of Everett; and, <br /> Whereas, the Mayor appointed a Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC), comprised of citizens, <br /> which met, considered alternatives and developed an Amendment to the City's Solid Waste Management <br /> Plan which strives for cost control, convenience and rate stability; and, <br /> Whereas, the City has prepared an addendum to the draft and final EIS for the Solid Waste <br /> Management Plan and the Everett Water Pollution Control Facility to analyze the potential for significant <br /> adverse environmental impacts associated with the plan; and, <br /> Whereas, the SWAC has presented and reviewed the draft final 1995 Amendment to the City's 1990 <br /> Solid Waste Management Plan with the City Council; and, <br /> Whereas, the City Council has received and considered written submissions and testimony at a Public <br /> Hearing on December 20th, 1995 regarding the 1995 Amendment to the 1990 Solid Waste Management <br /> Plan; and, <br /> Whereas, the City Council finds that the 1995 Amendment to the City of Everett Solid Waste <br /> Management Plan is in the best interest of the residents and businesses of the City of Everett; <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Everett adopts the 1995 <br /> Amendment to the City of Everett Comprehensive Solid Waste Managment Plan. <br /> 1/;i , <br /> Council mber Introducing esolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 27th day of December, 1995 <br /> 7) <br /> 611 / <br /> Coucil President, Carl Gipson <br /> tt:swacres <br />
