RESOLUTION NO. 4119 #j1P•A <br /> A RESOLUTION to amend Ti <br /> E!/E?ETT <br /> Everett's 1993 Community Development Block Grant <br /> Application to the U.S. Department of <br /> Housing and Community Development <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and <br /> community development programs in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, funds have been made available through the Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development to provide for those programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, $50,000.00 of 1993 CDBG funds originally designated for the Salvation Army's terminated <br /> "The Bridge" program are now available for re-allocation <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied <br /> the housing and community development needs and priorities of Everett and has made its <br /> recommendations for these 1993 Community Development Block Grant funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations of the above <br /> committee; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: <br /> The above mentioned $50,000.00 from the 1993 Community Development Block Grant be re-allocated <br /> as follows; Everett Boy's and Girl's Club, $16,667.00; Cocoon House, $16,666.00; The Phoenix <br /> Center, $16,667.00. <br /> I. The Mayor is hereby authorized to make formal application to the U.S. Department of Housing <br /> and Urban Development for funding assistance in accordance with this Resolution and the <br /> requirements of such application. <br /> II. The funding for these three projects will be in the form of loans, with details of terms and <br /> conditions to be returned to City Council in a contract. The intent is to start a fund for housing <br /> construction programs in the future. <br /> III. This Resolution will become part of the formai application to the U.S. Department of Housing and <br /> Urban Development for modification of the 1993 CDBG Final Statement (Application). <br /> IV. The required application sections and information are to be sent to the U.S. Department of <br /> Housing and Urban Development to complete all application requirements. <br /> Councilman Introdu3pgResolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL THIS 'AY OF May , 1995. <br /> Council President <br />
