RESOLUTION NO. 4092 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing application for 1995 EVERETT <br /> Community Development Block Grant Funds to the <br /> Department of Housing and Urban Development <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and <br /> community development programs in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, funds have been made available through the Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development to provide for those programs and Everett is entitled to receive $998,0b0.00 in 1995; and <br /> WHEREAS, there is $34,778.04 CDBG funds left unspent from the now CDBG ineligible Lowell <br /> Neighborhood, to be distributed to the remaining three CDBG eligible neighborhoods. <br /> WHEREAS, there is $1,625.95 from previous years unspent CDBG public service funds. <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied <br /> the housing and community development needs and priorities of Everett and has made its <br /> recommendations for 1995 Community Development Block Grant funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations of the above <br /> committee; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: <br /> I. Projects to be Funded in 1995 <br /> Public Service Funding <br /> 1. Volunteers of America $16,000.00 <br /> Family and Children's Services <br /> 2. Volunteers of America $17,000.00 <br /> Rental Housing Mediation Service <br /> 3. Community Housing Resource Board $3,000.00 <br /> 4. Center for Battered Women $20,000.00 <br /> Domestic Violence Services <br /> 5. Campfire $5,000.00 <br /> Campships <br /> 6. Community Health Center $16,000.00 <br /> 7. Deaconess Children's Services $4,000.00 <br /> IMPACT <br /> 8. Cocoon House $24,000.00 <br /> Homeless Youth Housing <br /> 9. Senior Services of Snohomish County $2,500.00 <br /> Housing Social Services <br />
