ORDINANCE NO. 2875-05 <br />AN ORDINANCE Amending the City of Everett Zoning Map, <br />Ordinance No. 1671-89 (Title 19, EMC), As Amended, <br />Establishing City of Everett Zoning for An Area South of Silver Lake, <br />and North of 132nd Street SE along 19th Avenue SE <br />Known as the Murphy's Corner Annexation <br />WHEREAS, on August 1, 2000, the Planning Commission held a public hearing <br />regarding establishment of zoning for the herein described land area annexed to the <br />City known as the Murphy's Corner annexation area; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended establishing zoning <br />classifications consistent with the City of Everett Growth Management <br />Comprehensive Plan, to include R-1 (Single Family Detached Low Density), R-2 <br />(Single Family Detached Medium Density), R-3 (Multiple Family Medium Density) <br />and C-1 (General Commercial) zones; and <br />WHEREAS, the area the Planning Commission had recommended for R-3 zoning <br />has since been platted in Snohomish County and is being developed with single <br />family and duplex dwellings, and the City proposes under the 2005 comprehensive <br />plan docket process to amend the land use designation for this area to reflect this <br />changed condition; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed zoning of the herein described <br />land area annexed to the City as R-1, R-2 and C-1 is consistent with the applicable <br />provisions of the Everett Comprehensive Plan, bears a substantial relation to the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and promotes the best long term interests of the <br />Everett Community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1: The following described area located west of 19th Avenue SE is hereby <br />zoned R-1 (Single Family Detached Low Density): <br />
