RESOLUTION NO.3%2 Z <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing a letter to be sent by the Mayor to the Federal Energy <br /> Regulatory Commission (FERC), invoking full City participation in all Jackson Project <br /> issues. <br /> 'WHEREAS the City is co-licensee in the Henry M. Jackson Project (FERC No. 2157) <br /> with the Snohomish County PUD, and <br /> WHEREAS the City, along with the PUD, has the responsibility and obligation to <br /> insure that all articles of the FERC license for the Jackson Project and the PUD - City <br /> agreement are complied with, and <br /> WHEREAS the City is responsible for providing drinking water to a large number of <br /> the people of Snohomish County, and <br /> WHEREAS the Jackson Project construction is completed and normal operations have <br /> commenced; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett that <br /> the Mayor shall inform the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that the City <br /> intends to assume the full responsibilities of a co-licensee and that in all project matters <br /> before the FERC the City shall represent itself. <br /> c.„ <br /> Councilperson Introduci ng Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED thisD da o�--s299-' <br /> Y <br /> Y) <br /> AAQ} <br /> /j2- <br /> ouncil Pres' ent <br /> jg:CORES (12129/92) <br />
