1!!!!!!!!=1 <br /> EL/Efi'ETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3714 <br /> A RESOLUTION supporting Library Services and Construction <br /> Act grant application for a cooperative collection <br /> development project with Everett Community College <br /> Library to acquire English as a second language <br /> learning materials. <br /> WHEREAS, the numbers of Asians, Hispanics, and Eastern European refugees in <br /> the library service area is increasing and <br /> WHEREAS, they need to learn English to function successfully in our society <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Everett to improve the availability <br /> of English language learning materials for new populations <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT: <br /> that the City of Everett lends its full support and endorsement to the <br /> Library's application for grant funds under the Library and Services <br /> Construction Act (LSCA) , and the Mayor is authorized to execute all <br /> applications and grant contracts related thereto. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 23 day of______cDecember , 1992 <br /> cvc <br /> / <br /> Council President <br />
