OP4' /.r.a <br /> 4-- <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3679 <br /> A RESOLUTION to host the 1994 Neighborhoods U.S.A. Conference. <br /> WHEREAS, neighborhoods are the backbone of our community; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has assumed a leadership role in establishing the Office of <br /> Neighborhoods in an effort to provide a forum for citizen participation in city government; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Neighborhoods has been enormously successful in reaching its goals with <br /> the organization of 15 neighborhoods that are working together for the betterment of our community; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett is committed to nurturing and strengthening strong neighborhood <br /> associations and creating a model for other communities nation-wide to emulate; and <br /> WHEREAS, Neighborhoods U.S.A. is a national group of citizen leaders who meet annually to share <br /> ideas and solutions for our neighborhoods <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> to actively bid to host the 1994 Neighborhoods U.S.A.
