• Resolution No. 6206 'SETT A RESOLUTION authorizing a fixed route fare for comms -r oriented services equal to Community Transit's local fare WHEREAS, the City of Everett and Everett Transit continue to work in cooperation with Community Transit to provide transit choices to their mutual customers; and WHEREAS, Everett Transit and Community Transit have identified potential transit markets outside the city limits of Everett that are not part of Community Transit's current or long range service plans; and WHEREAS, Everett Transit and Community Transit mutually agree that Everett Transit is the more appropriate fixed route service provider for destinations inside the City of Everett and outside of the Everett Station area, regardless of the point of origin; and WHEREAS, customers in these potential markets currently pay a fare equal to Community Transit's or Sound Transit's fixed route fare; and WHEREAS, in the spirit of mutual interest and cooperation, any Everett Transit fixed route service operated outside the Everett city limits should not unfairly compete with the local or regional service providers; and WHEREAS, current transit customers affected by this resolution will not realize a fare increase by this proposed action. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT: Effective December 1, 2009, the fare for Everett Transit fixed route bus service that either originate outside Everett city limits or whose primary purpose is to connect with Sound Transit at a regional facility, shall be equal to Community Transit's fixed route bus service fares at the time of service. However, this does not apply to the Everett Transit route between Mukilteo and Everett Station, which may have fares greater than or less than Community Transit's fixed route bus service fares.
