RESOLUTION No. 6221 Resolution for Expenditure of Human Needs Funding WHEREAS, the City allocates funding each year to be used for human needs programs; and WHEREAS, $310,500 is included in the 2010 budget for this purpose; and WHEREAS, there exists in the community a call for monies to supplement human needs programs; and WHEREAS, the Human Needs Advisory Committee, formed to make annual recommendations to the City Council for allocation of these funds,has voted to recommend funding as listed below; 1. American Red Cross Snohomish County Chapter: Project PRIDE $8,000 2. Arc of Snohomish County: Counseling and Guidance, Shelter/Food, and $22,000 Health Services 3. Boys & Girls Clubs: Kids'Cafe $3,500 4. Bridgeways: Sparrow House Transitional Housing $14,000 5. Catholic Community Services: Volunteer Chore Services and Family $13,000 and Children's Services 6. Center for Career Alternatives: Career Readiness $15,000 7. Cocoon House: Transitional Housing for Teens and Emergency Shelter $28,100 for Teens 8. Community Health Center:Health Services for Uninsured, Low Income $6,000 &Homeless Youth 9. Compass Health: Youth Counseling at Cocoon House and Complex and $30,000 Homeless Drop-In Center 10. Compass Health: Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center Coordinator $14,200 11. Deaconess Children's Services: Teen Parent Advocacy $5,000 12. Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County: Children's Program $16,050 13. ElderHealth Northwest:Adult Day Health Care $7,050 14. Everett Gospel Mission: Mobile Dental Van $5,000 15. Everett Gospel Mission: Project Homeless Connect $1,000 16. Friends of Youth: New Ground Everett Transitional Living $5,000 17. Housing Hope: Commerce Building Housing and Social Services for $6,000 Persons with Disabilities 18. Imagine Children's Museum: Free Museum Access $2,500 19. Interfaith Association of Northwest Washington: Interfaith Family $20,000 Shelter and Community Dinner Program
