eA/Ite:A1 <br /> 011:,11(01 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6 2 31 <br /> A RESOLUTION establishing Prohibited Areas related to drug and prostitution activity. <br /> WHEREAS, on December 19, 2007 the Council enacted Ordinances related to <br /> Violations of Court Orders and Stay Out of Areas of Prostitution Orders; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances became effective on January 9, 2008; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that Stay Out of Drug Areas ("SODA") and Stay <br /> Out of Areas of Prostitution ("SOAP") orders set forth Prohibited Areas that have been <br /> established by a resolution of the City Council, at a minimum of every two years; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that the establishment of the Prohibited Areas be <br /> supported by information from the Police Department in the form of one or more <br /> declarations and/or other sworn testimony; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council has reviewed declarations attached to this Resolution of <br /> Lieutenant James P. Duffy, Sergeant Robert A, Marshall, Lieutenant Ted Olafson, and <br /> Sergeant Matt Myers, and/or has heard other sworn testimony; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That the City Council hereby establishes Prohibited Areas related to areas of drug and <br /> prostitution activity as set forth in the attached declarations and Exhibit A to this <br /> Resolution which are incorporated herein by reference for the period January 6, 2010— <br /> January 6, 2012. <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 6th day of January, 2010. <br /> Councilperson Intr ucing Resolution <br /> ouncil President <br />
