#1141 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6237 Fiii&TIETT <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving <br /> a sole source purchase of a firearms training simulator from VirTra Systems <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Police Department requires the replacement of its current <br /> firearms training simulator; and <br /> WHEREAS, VirTra Systems' IVR 300 is the only firearms training simulator that <br /> provides 300-degrees of simulation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the VirTra Systems simulator is the only system which provides wireless <br /> "shoot-back" capability that does not require aiming by the operator; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of <br /> supplying firearms training simulator that meets the City's requirements, the City hereby <br /> waives competitive bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase of one IVR 300 <br /> Firearms Training Simulator from VirTra Systems. <br /> ,______-_____-_:____ ____________ illie/ __.---------- <br /> Councilperson Introdu ing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 20th day of January, 2010. <br /> fCt�� 4.. <br /> council President <br />
