I, <br /> /IP/ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6246 E T <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a sole source purchase of <br /> Solar Powered Trash Compactors from Big Belly Solar in the amount of$145,137.74, including <br /> Washington State Sales Tax.. <br /> WHEREAS, the City has chosen and used Solar Powered Trash Compactors from Big Belly <br /> Solar and found them to be a reliable way to increase efficiency and reduce emissions; and <br /> WHEREAS, Big Belly Solar is the only source for Solar Powered Trash Compactors; and <br /> WHEREAS, Big Belly Solar holds a patent for the design and construction of the selected Trash <br /> Compactors; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying <br /> Solar Powered Trash Compactors; the City hereby waives competitive bidding requirements and <br /> authorizes the purchase of Solar Powered Trash Compactors from Big Belly Solar. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 17th day of February , 2010. <br /> /Q"-4-6 <br /> Council President <br />
