RESOLUTION NO. /`.J <br /> A RESOLUTION adopting Findings and Conclusions <br /> denying Glenwood Avenue Apartments <br /> contract rezone request, No. 2-88 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that an application was <br /> received by the City of Everett by Walt Kjorsvik, K & G <br /> Associates, 14038 Sunnyside Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98133 <br /> requesting a rezone on a parcel of property approximately 7 <br /> acres in size located west of Glenwood, south of 55th Place <br /> S.W. and north of the PUD substation from R-1 to R-3(A) with <br /> concomitant agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that after due notice, <br /> public hearings were held before the City's Planning <br /> Commission on April 25, May 16 , and June 8, 1989 , which <br /> resulted in a 2-2 tie vote by the Commission with no consensus <br /> to recommend either approval or denial; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that after due notice, <br /> public hearings were held on August 2 and August 23 , 1989. <br /> Following the public hearing on the 23rd of August, Council <br /> remanded the project to City staff for the purpose of meeting <br /> with the proponents and opponents regarding specific issues <br /> raised by the Council ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that after due public <br /> notice a public hearing was held on December 20th, 1989, to <br /> consider the revisions to the project, to take testimony from <br /> the staff, the proponent, opponent and interested citizens; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT that: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> The rezone request is for a rezone of property currently <br /> zoned R-1 , Single Family Low Density Residence Zone to R-3 (A) <br /> with a concomitant contract. The General Plan designation for <br /> 1 <br />
