RESOLUTION NO. g/(f/ <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the sole source <br /> purchase of 25, 000 cubic yards of sand <br /> from Wilder Construction . <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department <br /> is planning Phase II development at Langus Riverfront Park ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Phase III construction will require approximately <br /> 25, 000 cubic yards of sand to raise the developed area above the <br /> existing dike and to pre-load the picnic shelter and parking lot <br /> sites ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Wilder Construction is removing the sand they own <br /> from the existing pre-load site at the Wastewater Treatement Plant ; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Wilder Construction is the only firm that has the <br /> necessary sand and safety personnel to immediately transfer to the <br /> Phase II construction site for $. 50 to $1 .00 per cubic yard . <br /> WHEREAS , the timely purchase of this material will save <br /> planning and contractor time during the construction project , <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT that the Purchasing Department is authorized to purchase <br /> 25,000 cubic yards of sand and flagging and bulldozer time from <br /> Wilder Construction for $26, 000. <br /> Councilmember introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and approved this <br /> pp day of / , 1989. <br /> Council ()OKI/4r07(//' <br /> t <br />
