. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. i3 (6-7 <br /> A RESOLUTION amending the General Plan <br /> of the City of Everett <br /> as provided for by Everett Municipal Code <br /> Title 2, Section 20 Subsection 120, to remove <br /> the Narbeck Road concept as a future street corridor. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council adopted the Southwest Everett <br /> Comprehensive Plan by Resolution No. 2084 in 1982; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City adopted the Narbeck Road concept as part of the <br /> Southwest Everett Comprehensive Plan long range transportation element; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City adopted a new General PLan commercial - industrial <br /> land use element by Resolution No. 2902, in 1987, and incorporated the <br /> Narbeck Road concept herein by reference as an "integral component" of the <br /> General Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 28, 1989, the Planning Commission held a public <br /> hearing regarding the elimination of Narbeck Road as a future street corridor <br /> concept from the City's official General Plan, and did recommend to City <br /> Council that Narbeck Road be eliminated from the City's planned arterial <br /> system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Narbeck Road would raise concerns <br /> of environmental impacts, high construction costs, and not being an integral <br /> part of the transportation system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds after reviewing Planning Commission <br /> recommendations at a public hearing on April 19, 1989, that the General Plan <br /> amendment hereinafter set forth is in the best interest of the City of <br /> Everett. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> 1.
