RESOLUTION NO. //4 A RESOLUTION authorizing the demolition of a building situated at 1414 12th Street WHEREAS, the City of Everett Planning Director has found that the building which is located at 1414 12th Street to be a substandard building pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Planning Director issued an Order requiring the owners of the property to make necessary repairs or to demolish the building; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the required repairs or demolition have not taken place as was required in the Order; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Order issued by the Planning Director was properly served on the Title Company interested in the property; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owner of the property is aware of the Order; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners have been given notice of this Council meeting; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there has been no appeal of the Order issued by the Planning Director and that the appeal period has expired; and WHEREAS, the City Council, upon due consideration, deems it in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the public that this Resolution be adopted requiring the demolition of the building; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT: Section 1: That the building located at 1414 12th Street which is legally described as follows contains conditions which are hazardous to the life, limb, health, safety, welfare, and property of the public or the occupants thereof: The West 48 feet of Lots 17 and 18, and the West 48 feet of the North 1/2 of Lot 19, in Block 227, Supplemental Plat Church and LaMoure's Addition to Everett, as per plat in Volume 3 of Plats on page 35, records of Snohomish County; Situate in the County of Snohomish, State of Washington.
