RESOLUTION NO. ,__24?- 6.‘ <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing application for 1988 Community <br /> Development Block Grant funds to the Department of Housing <br /> and Urban Development and approving the City of Everett <br /> Objectives and Priorities for Community Development <br /> Block Grant Funds 1988 through 1991 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need <br /> for certain housing and community development programs in Everett, and <br /> WHEREAS, funds have been made available through the Department of <br /> Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs and it is <br /> estimated that Everett is entitled to receive $621,120 in 1988, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community <br /> Development has studied the housing and community development needs and <br /> priorities of Everett and has made its recommendations for 1988 Community <br /> Development Block Grant funds, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the <br /> recommendations of the above committee. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT THAT: <br /> I. PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED IN 1988 <br /> ITEMS AMOUNT <br /> **1. Stop Abuse $ 15,000.00 <br /> Domestic Violence Program <br /> **2. Outreach Program 20,655.00 <br /> Volunteers of America <br /> **3. Rental Housing Mediation Service 19,380.00 <br /> Volunteers of America <br /> **4. Everett Girls Club 7,500.00 <br /> **5. Association for Retarded Citizens of 5,145.00 <br /> Snohomish County (ARC) (New) Housing <br /> Specialist for the Developmentally Disabled <br />
