• 1 RESOLUTION N0.�Z 1f 7 2 A RESOLUTION authorizing the demolition of a building situated at 212 West Casino 3 4 WHEREAS, the City of Everett Building Official has found that the 5 building which is located at 212 West Casino Road is a substandard structure 6 based upon the standard set forth in the 1979 Uniform Housing Code; and 7 WHEREAS, the Building Official has found the building to be dan- 8 gerous pursuant to Section 302 of the 1979 Uniform Code for the Abatement of 9 Dangerous Buildings; and 10 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Official issued 11 an Order requiring the owners of the property to make the necessary repairs 12 or to demolish the building; and 13 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the required repairs or 14 demolition has not taken place as was required in the Order which was duly 15 served on the owners of the property; and 16 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Official has 17 the authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code; 18 and 19 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners have been given 20 notice of this Council Meeting; and 21 WHEREAS, the Everett City Council , upon due consideration, deems 22 it in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare that an 23 Order be entered requiring the demolition and clearing of the building. 24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT: 25 Section 1 : The City of Everett Building Official is hereby 26 authorized to have the building at 212 East Casino Road, Everett, Washing- 27 ton demolished. 28 Section 2: The legal description of the property is as follows : 29 30 31 32
