RESOLUTION NO 1/O f <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to sign an <br /> agreement with 3H Cable Communications Consultants. <br /> WHEREAS, the City has a franchise agreement which expires in <br /> 1988 with Viacom Cablevision for television cable service within <br /> the City, and <br /> WHEREAS, Viacom Cablevision has asked for a new fifteen year <br /> franchise agreement as a condition to their upgrading the cable <br /> system in the City, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to obtain <br /> expert representation for the refranchising process , and <br /> WHEREAS, 3H Cable Communications Consultants has expertise <br /> in cablevision franchising and has offered to represent the City <br /> in the refranchising process for a fee of $9 ,650.00, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Everett <br /> that authorization is given to the Mayor to sign an agreement with <br /> 3H Cable Communications Consultants to represent the City in negotiating <br /> a new cable television franchise. <br /> Council Member In oducin e olution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this pi day of March, 1984. <br /> r .0. /kw <br /> o 444i.
