t f " RESOLUTION NO.v�'i 5 1 1 A RESOLUTION authorizing the demolition of a building 2 located at 3007 Federal Avenue. 3 4 WHEREAS, the Building Official has found that the building which 5 is located at 3007 Federal Avenue is a substandard structure based upon 6 the standards set forth in the 1979 Uniform Housing Code; and 7 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Official issued 8 an Order requesting the owners of the property to make the necessary repairs 9 or to demolish the building; and 10 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners appealed from 11 the Order; and 12 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Appeals Board required 13 the owners to secure liability insurance holding the City harmless and 14 make application for a building permit by January 12th, 1984; and 15 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners have not complied 16 with the Appeals Board requirements; and 17 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Official has 18 the authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform Housing 19 Code; and 20 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners of the property 21 have been given notice of this Council meeting; and 22 WHEREAS, the Everett City Council , upon due consideration, deems 23 it in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare that an 24 Order be entered requiring the demolition of this building . 25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT: 26 Section 1 : The City of Everett Building Official is hereby 27 authorized to have the building demolished. The building is situated 28 on the following described property: 29 Lots 4 and 5, Block 723, Plat of Everett, Division "H" , as per plat 30 recorded in Volume 4 of Plats on page 50, records of Snohomish County. 31 32
