\. <br /> RESOLUTION / 72 7 <br /> WHEREAS, The Public Works Department of the City desires to <br /> purchase new telemetry equipment to expand and upgrade the present <br /> system, and ; <br /> WHEREAS, the present system is made up of equipment manufactured <br /> by SPARLING, ENVIROTECH CORP. , and the Water Department has a sizeable <br /> investment in spare parts and test equipment, and; <br /> WHEREAS, any new purchases should be fully interchangeable <br /> physically with the existing tone equipment, and; <br /> WHEREAS, SPARLING ENVIROTECH CORP. of Bellevue have trained <br /> technicians in maintenance and repair problems and has been in the <br /> business of providing water and waste water monitoring and control <br /> equipment for at least 25 years and is recognized as a sole source; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT that the Public Works Department of the City of Everett <br /> is hereby authorized and directed to purchase new transmitters , <br /> receivers , relays and related equipment as required not to exceed <br /> $7 , 000 . 00 from SPARLING, ENVIROTECH CORP. <br /> t <br /> )kl.!C._:) -- IF <br /> COUNCILMAN INTRODUCING ESOLU ION <br /> /f/(-'/, t, ,/, / / ii <br /> / <br /> President <br /> DATE: /o.? .D(, "),- <br />
