• CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 74—cy AN ORDINANCE relating to Local Improvement District No . 709 amending Ordinance No . 1062-84 approving and confirming final assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 709 by reducing all assessments . WHEREAS, following the giving of notices and the holding of a hearing as required by law, the City Council passed Ordinance No . 1062-84 approving and confirming the final assessment roll of Local Improvement District No . 709, the amount of which roll was based on the actual costs incurred to that date and the anticipated costs which would be incurred in processing Local Improvement District No . 709 to its conclusion including the issuance of Local Improvement District Bonds thereof; and WHEREAS, following passage of Ordinance No . 1062-84 and the expiration of the statutory appeal period for property owners objecting to the amount of their assessments, it is apparent that certain anticipated costs of that local improvement district will not be incurred and therefore the amount of the final assessment roll as approved and confirmed by Ordinance No. 1062-84 exceeds what is necessary to pay all of the costs of the local improvement district; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to reduce the final assessment roll of Local Improvement District No . 709 by the amount of such excess; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 . Section 1 of Ordinance No . 1062-84 is amended to read as follows : Section 1 . The assessments and assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 709 which has been created and established for the purpose of construct- ing and installing certain street improvements in the area of Casino Road between Airport Way and Evergreen
