7‘ 9 - 37C <br /> t <br /> ' • <br /> 1111K * <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 41, 4- 77 <br /> AN ORDINANCE levying the general taxes for the <br /> City of Everett for fiscal year commencing <br /> January 1 , 1979 on all taxable property, both <br /> real and personal, in said City, subject to <br /> taxation thereon, for the purpose of raising a <br /> portion of the revenue to carry on the different <br /> departments of said City for the ensuing year, <br /> as required by the Charter of the City of Everett <br /> and the laws of the State of Washington; prescribing <br /> and apportioning the same into the different funds <br /> of said City for the fiscal year, and providing <br /> for the collection thereof . <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett duly and regularly <br /> adopted as required by law the estimate of the amounts required to <br /> meet the public expense of said City for the ensuing year and the <br /> amount to be raised by taxation in said City for said ensuing year <br /> from sources other than direct taxation, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett will be required to pay the sum of <br /> $332 , 775. 00 during the year 1979 upon its General Obligation 1967 <br /> Street Improvement Bonds for payment of principal and interest , <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 : That there be, and hereby is, levied upon real and <br /> personal property in the City of Everett , subject to taxation <br /> thereon, a general property tax for municipal purposes for the <br /> ensuing year commencing on January 1 , 1979 in the sum of <br /> $4,647 ,718. 00 allocated as follows : <br /> General Current Expense Fund $4 , 045,260. 00 <br /> Firemen ' s Pension Fund 269,683. 00 <br /> General Obligation 1967 Street Improvement 332, 775.00 <br /> Bond, Principal & Interest <br /> TOTAL $4, 647 , 718 . 00 <br /> Section 2 : That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, directed <br /> to certify to the County Assessor a copy of this ordinance in <br /> order that the same be extended upon the general assessment roll <br /> of said County , in the same manner and at the same time as the <br /> levy for the State and County taxes is extended.. <br /> Section 3 : That said taxes shall be collected and paid to the <br /> City Treasurer at the same time and in the same manner as provided <br /> by the laws of the State of Washington relating to collection of <br /> taxes in cities of the first class. <br /> -----. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> • <br /> Ci y Clerk <br /> Valid: -/ 7,F <br /> Passed: / -- 17 71 <br /> Published : / 0 -13 - 71 <br />
