t <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE requiring the filing of quarterly <br /> declarations of intent and financial statements <br /> in connection with the conduct by bona fide charitable <br /> or nonprofit organizations of those bingo, raffle <br /> 1 and amusement games exempted from the criminal <br /> penalties of state law by Chapter 280, Laws of 1971, <br /> 2 1st Extraordinary Session, as amended. <br /> 3 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 4 SECTION 1: <br /> 5 Any organization qualifying as a "bona fide charitable or nonprofit organ- <br /> 6 ization under Chapter 280, Laws of 1971, 1st Extraordinary Session, as <br /> 7 amended, intending to conduct in the City of Everett those bingo, raffle or <br /> 8 amusement games which under said Chapter 280 are not subject to state <br /> 9 criminal law penalties, shall, no less than ten (10) days prior to the <br /> 10 commencement of any such activity, file with the City Treasurer of the City <br /> 11 of Everett a declaration of intent to conduct such activity which shall be sworn <br /> 12 to by the representative of the organization filing the same, and thereafter <br /> 13 shall, within fifteen days following each succeeding quarterly period, file <br /> 14 with the City Treasurer of the City of Everett a sworn financial statement <br /> 15 in such detail as may be required by said Treasurer, covering the operation <br /> 16 of any such activity conducted during said preceding quarterly period, to- <br /> 17 gether with another such sworn declaration of intent if such activity is to be <br /> 18 continued. <br /> 19 SECTION 2: <br /> 20 The declaration of intent and financial statement required in Section 1 hereof <br /> 21 shall be in such form as shall be prescribed by the City Treasurer of the <br /> 22 City of Everett and the declaration of intent shall require disclosure of the <br /> 23 name and address of the organization and the time and place said organization <br /> 24 intends to conduct such activity and such declaration of intent and financial <br /> 25 statement shall require disclosure of such other information as may be re- <br /> 26 quired by the said Treasurer to show compliance with Chapter 280, Laws of <br /> 27 1971, 1st Extraordinary Session, as amended. It shall be the duty of the <br /> 28 organization to file with the said Treasurer, from time to time, such amended <br /> 29 declarations as may be necessary to provide the public with a current and <br /> 30 accurate statement of the information contained in such declaration which <br /> 31 disclosed compliance with said Chapter 280. <br /> 32 <br />
