L- 9%1 <br /> 2 <br /> 3 AN ORDINANCE amending Everett City Code Sections <br /> 14. 16. 130-310-380-470-600-720, being Ordinance <br /> 4 {1 relating to the Water Department of the City of <br /> 5 Everett, water rates and management of the water <br /> system, and declaring an emergency to exist. <br /> 611 <br /> 7 (; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 8 111 Section 1: That Everett City Code Section 14. 16. 130 is hereby <br /> 9 amended to read as follows: <br /> 10 1 Service Connection Charges. The initial service connection <br /> 11 installation cost for customers within the City limits for a fixed rate service, <br /> 12 a three-fourths inch, a one inch and a two inch metered service shall be as <br /> 13 1 set forth in Section 14. 16, 720. Metered service connections within the City <br /> 14 limits which are larger than two inch in diameter and all metered service <br /> 15 j connections outside the City limits shall be installed at the actual cost of <br /> 16 1 making such installation. <br /> 17 ;j Before work shall be commenced on any service connection, <br /> 18 the applicant shall pay to the water department the amount set forth in Section <br /> 19 14. 16. 720 for a fixed rate service connection or a three fourths inch, or one <br /> 20 i inch or two inch metered service connection, whichever is applicable to the <br /> I! <br /> 21 i particular connection as determined by the water department. <br /> 22 i! In the case of an applicant requesting a service larger than two <br /> 23 1 inch within the city limits or a service of any size outside the city limits, the <br /> 24 applicant shall pay to the water department, before work is commenced on suck <br /> 25 service, an amount equal to the estimate cost, as determined by the Water <br /> 26 , department, for the installation of such service. The work shall then be per- <br /> 27 formed by the water department who shall maintain a record of the actual costo <br /> 28 ; of all labor, material and equipment rental required to complete the work, <br /> 29 ' Upon completion of the installation, if the amount paid to the water department! <br /> 30 1 by the applicant is not sufficient to pay for the cost of doing the work, the <br /> 31 ,, applicant shall pay the difference between the actual cost and the amount of the <br /> 32 estimate previously paid to the water department.
