1 (5) for any person to operate on a public street or <br /> highway, within the City of Everett, a motor- <br /> 2 cycle on which the handlebars or grips are more <br /> than 15 inches higher than the seat or saddle <br /> 3 for the operator. <br /> 4 (6) for any person to ride a motorcycle in a posi- <br /> tion where both feet are placed on the same side <br /> 5 of the motorcycle . <br /> 6 Section 9.28.100 Rental Equipment . It shall be <br /> unlawful: <br /> 7 <br /> (1) for any person to rent a motor vehicle of any <br /> 8 kind, including a motorcycle, to any other per- <br /> son unless the latter person is then duly <br /> 9 licensed as a vehicle operator for the kind of <br /> motor vehicle being rented in this state, or, <br /> 10 in case of a non-resident, then that he is duly <br /> licensed under the laws of the state or country <br /> 11 of his residence, except a non-resident whose <br /> home state or country does not require that a <br /> 12 motor vehicle operator be licensed. <br /> 13 (2) for any person to rent a motor vehicle to <br /> another until he has inspected the vehicle opera- <br /> 14 tor 's license of such other person, and compared <br /> and verified the signature thereon with the <br /> 15 signature of such other person written in his <br /> presence , <br /> 16 <br /> (3) for any person renting a motor vehicle to another <br /> 17 person to not keep a record of the vehicle <br /> license number of the motor vehicle so rented, <br /> 18 the name and address of the person to whom the <br /> motor vehicle is rented, the number of the <br /> 19 vehicle operator license of the person renting <br /> the vehicle, and the date and place when and <br /> 20 where such vehicle operator's license was issued. <br /> Such record shall be open to inspection by any <br /> 21 peace officer or any one acting for the Washing- <br /> ton State Director of Licenses . <br /> 22 <br /> (4) for any person to rent out motorcycles unless he <br /> 23 shall also have on hand for rent helmets of a <br /> type approved by the Commission on Equipment. <br /> 24 No motorcycle shall be rented out unless the <br /> renter thereof has in his possession a helmet <br /> 25 of the type approved by the Washington State <br /> Commission on Equipment, regardless of from <br /> 26 whom the helmet is obtained. <br /> 27 Section 9.28.110 Violations - Penalty.
