Michael E. McCormick
2830 196t' ST SE
Bothell, WA, 98012
5/14/2018
Tony Lee
Building Official
City of Everett
3200 Cedar Street
Everett, WA, 98201
Job Address: 7605 Beverly Blvd
Plan Check No.: B1804-022
Dear Tony Lee:
In regards to your letter on April 13, 2018, several corrections have been made to the
plans to address your comments, see below.
1. Our records have this part of the building addressed as 7605 Beverly Blvd — this
can be cleared up through Public Works in person or by calling (425) 257-8810,
Option #6.
The address for this part of the building has been corrected with the City of Everett.
2. The location of the existing wall to be removed should be shown on the plans. It
must be verified that the wall is not a load -bearing or lateral -resistant wall.
Section 107.2.1.
Drawing K-1.1 has been updated to show the existing wall to be removed. This wall
was not a load -bearing or lateral -resistant wall, it was installed to separate the kitchen
from the dining area during a past remodel. Unfortunately, this wall was removed by
Servpro while they were cleaning up from the smoke damage in the building. And
yes, the kind folks at the City of Everett building department did let me know that a
building permit was required for the demolition work that occurred, I apologize for
my ignorance on that.
In addition, due to the accessible access requirement, the wall between one bathroom
and closet will be removed to make the bathroom large enough to be accessible.
