Tony Lee
5/14/2018
Page 3
1109.2 Toilet and bathing facilities, shall be accessible
The bathrooms are on the same level as the dining room and hallway. One bathroom
has the space to be accessible, however the sink will need to be moved to provide the
accessible space required to the side of the toilet. The second bathroom does not have
the space to be accessible, therefore, the wall between the closet next to the bathroom
will be removed to enlarge the space for the second bathroom. Both the toilet and
sink will be moved to provide accessible space. As noted on drawing K-1, ADA bars
will be added adjacent to the toilet per code requirements.
1111 Signage
Accessible signs will be placed on both bathroom doors. One bathroom will be
designated `Mens' and the other will be designated `Women'. There are no other
additional accessible signs required for this tenant improvement.
Not noted on the drawings, but per the City of Everett's building department's request
to note which method of code per the 2015 International Existing Building Code
would this tenant improvement fall under. This building has two lease spaces, this
one with the tenant improvement with less than 750sq ft of this space being improved
and the existing tenant next door at 7603 Beverly Blvd which will not be improved
with a space of 850sq ft. Therefore, 301.1.2, Work Area Compliance Method will be
applied to the tenant improvement as less than 50% of the building will be improved.
Sincerely,
ooe
Michael E.
