Comment: On Sheet T-1, the building construction type was noted as "Type II-B (assumed)". However, existing drawings and records appear to indicate that the Construction Type is 3-A. Please provide justification for the change of construction type. If the building is to remain as a Type 3-A building, please address how fire protection is being maintained to the primary framing members, and the roof construction, as it appears that new wrapping of the existing columns and new roof framing members and strengthening is being added. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections requested. Please include a response letter which indicates how the corrections were resolved. Response: We have revised the Code data on sheet T-1 to read Type IIB (Reclassified) and added an explanatory note regarding the reclassification. We have also added a note requiring that wood prducts used in the remodel shal be subject to section 603 of the 2015 ibc. We have further revised the wall sections on sheet A-1.1 to call for fire retardant treated plywood wainscot in the storage areas.
